A Frederick doctor convicted Thursday of assaulting patients during visits to his office will serve more than two years in jail when he is sentenced in December.

Dr. Syed Haque was convicted as part of an Alford plea agreement in Frederick County Circuit Court on five counts in three separate cases. He initially faced more serious charges, including second-degree rape in two of the cases.
