India Post is set to introduce a new guarantee-based delivery service for mails and parcels, offering customers assured timelines of 24 and 48 hours, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced on Friday.
Aimed at enhancing the efficiency and reliability of postal services across the country, the initiative will see 24-hour and 48-hour delivery options for mails and next-day delivery for parcels, starting January-2026.
The move is part of India Post’s broader strategy to modernise its operations and compete with private courier services, while leveraging its vast network that reaches even the most remote areas of the country.
