SAN ANTONIO — A man is accused of killing a person after running a red light on the far west side while he was intoxicated.

On Feb. 9, 2025, Bexar County deputies responded to the intersection of State Highway 211 and Potranco Road after receiving reports of a possibly fatal crash.

Upon arrival, officials had the driver and passenger of the victim's vehicle transported to a local hospital where the passenger was pronounced dead and the driver was sent into surgery as both arms, a wrist and ankle were all "shattered," according to the arrest warrant.

On Feb. 11, investigators say they downloaded the Airbag Control Module from the suspect's vehicle and discovered he was traveling at speeds up to "96 mph" on a road where the speed limit is only 45 mph.
