Rob Edwards described his pride in his Middlesbrough side as they set a real marker by beating promotion favourites Ipswich Town.

Rebounding from their first defeat of the season last time out, Edwards detailed his delight at both sides of Boro ’s game, as they won through in a thrilling match that served as a great advert for the Championship live on Sky Sports.

Morgan Whittaker added to Cedric Kipre’s own goal, which proved enough for Boro on the evening in a 2-1 win. Darragh O’Shea’s 76th-minute goal for the visitors had made for a tense ending, but Boro saw out the victory.
