U.S. Customs and Border Protection said its agriculture specialists discovered a leafhopper named Osbornellus salsus at the Port of San Luis.

The pest was found in a radicchio shipment from Mexico.

The CBP said a specimen was collected and forwarded to an entomologist at the United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Plant Protection and Quarantine.
