WINNEBAGO COUNTY (NBC 26) — Erik Metzig, the man convicted for killing his parents at their Wolf River home in Winnebago County , was sentenced to life in prison on Friday.

Metzig was charged with 2 counts of first-degree intentional homicide for the murders.

In court on Friday, Judge Michael Gibbs sentenced Metzig to two life sentences without parole.
