CALCUTTA, Ohio - Just after 3 p.m. Friday, the Calcutta Fire Department alerted residents of a major gas outage that affected about 223 residents in the area. Now, crews are ready to restore service to affected customers.
Crews will need to come inside each impacted household and to perform a safety check and relight appliances. An adult age 18 or over must be present to let crews inside.
Residents who can't be home are asked to make arrangements with a neighbor or leave their contact information on their door.
If crews cannot get into a resident's home, they will leave a door tag asking them to call when they return.
The gas outage affected the following roads:

- Estateview Drive
