Before the beginning of this season, the only people who may have believed in Grundy County were the players and coaches inside the building.
Yellow Jackets junior running back/safety Vince Bryant explained, "When they pick us last, we know we've got to come in and show everybody up."
"Last week's loss [to Marion County] hurts, but we know second place is still out there. We're still coming this week to get that home playoff game."
The 7-1 Yellow Jackets are a Cinderella story in the making and they know their work is just getting started.
"We can't be complacent with our record right now," Grundy County senior cornerback/wide receiver AJ Frisbee said.
"We're 7-1. We've still got a job to finish. We've still got playoffs to play."
