One of the starters on LSU's defensive line will not play on Saturday in a road game against Vanderbilt (11 a.m., ABC).

On Friday, the No. 10 Tigers (5-1) officially ruled transfer tackle Bernard Gooden out of the action to give the collarbone he bruised in Week 7 against South Carolina more time to heal.

Gooden, a fifth-year senior from South Florida, plays an average of 37 snaps per game on the interior of the LSU defensive line, according to Pro Football Focus. This season, he's been credited with 13 pressures, which is tied for the most among defensive tackles who play in the SEC.

LSU also listed linebacker Whit Weeks (ankle) and edge rusher Jimari Butler (ankle) as questionable to suit up against the No. 17 Commodores (5-1). Coach Brian Kelly has said that Weeks is dealing
