TOPPENISH, Wash. – Heritage University has officially welcomed Dr. Chris Gilmer as its fourth president. Appointed in July , Gilmer has now begun his term, bringing a personal connection to the university's mission.
Gilmer, who grew up in a small rural town in Mississippi where family members did not attend college, expressed his enthusiasm for his new role.
"Everything I've done, everything I've been, has led me to this moment. The future of Heritage University is indeed bright," he said.
The inauguration event attracted local, state and national government officials, including Governor Bob Ferguson .
