SalesForce CEO Marc Benioff apologized for previous comments in support of President Donald Trump's plan to send federal troops to San Francisco.
In a post on X, he wrote in part, "Having listened closely to my fellow San Franciscans and our local officials, and after the largest and safest Dreamforce in our history, I do not believe the National Guard is needed to address safety in San Francisco."
The apology comes just one day after a New York Times investigation revealed SalesForce pitched its AI services to help ICE rapidly hire thousands of new agents, according to screenshots of internal documents and communications obtained by The New York Times, also citing a five-page memo explaining how "SalesForce is best suited to help the agency in new hires."
