WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG) - Copper flashing was stolen from the Bluedorn Science Imaginarium’s roof on Thursday night.

Museum staff discovered the theft Friday morning. They had been moving exhibits to the main Grout Museum building this week.

The incident has been reported to the police. The Museum is enhancing security to prevent future thefts.

The Bluedorn Science Imaginarium closed on October 4. A new children’s science space will open at the main Grout Museum building following the demolition of the current building.

Anyone with information should contact either the Waterloo Police Department or the Museum directly.
