Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood is sending a blunt message to anyone planning trouble during Biketoberfest.

"My message is, if you're coming here to act like an a**, you're going to be treated like an a**," Chitwood said.

The sheriff’s warning comes as thousands of bikers arrive in Daytona Beach for Biketoberfest. He referenced a shooting earlier this year off State Road 44 between rival motorcycle gangs that led to the arrest of about 30 Mongols gang members.

"If you're going to come here and think that what happened on 44 is going to happen again … I think we proved the point," Chitwood said.
