GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Several law enforcement agencies arrested a man after finding over 1,000 grams of fentanyl.
Deputies are seeking warrants for Mingo Reed, 48, for trafficking fentanyl and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.
The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Georgetown Police Department and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, seized over 1,000 grams of suspected fentanyl, a gun, a hydraulic press, packaging materials and marijuana, according to sheriff spokesman Jason Lesley. He was later taken into custody at the 1600 block of Front Street.
Reed, who was out of jail on bond for an attempted murder charge, is at the Georgetown County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
