LAWRENCE, Kan. -- It's one of the biggest nights of the year for Jayhawk basketball fans.
Friday was the 41st edition of “Late night in the Phog” at Allen Fieldhouse and Jayhawk fans spent days camping out to get good seats.
“We got here, I think, 5:30 in the morning on Wednesday,” said KU student Savannah Olsewski. “And then we've been camping since, we all took like hour shifts.”
The student section was full not long after the doors opened at 5:00. Students were all looking forward to different parts of the “Late Night in the Phog” program.
“Last year they gave away like free keychains, T-shirts, things like that,” said Grace Fanowiel.
