NO. 1 DAVIES EATS UP CLOCK TO HANG ON AGAINST NO. 2 HORACE
FARGO — In a battle of the top two teams in North Dakota, Davies used a relentless rushing attack to beat Horace 16-6 and clinch the top spot in the EDC. Horace drew first blood with a rushing touchdown by Ty Geray, but Davies responded on the ensuing possession with a score from Kane Mathiason. Davies kept the clock running as much as possible and added insurance late in the first half thanks to Ryland Fischer's short touchdown run. Horace had a chance to pull within a score in the fourth quarter with first and goal, but couldn't convert. Davies cashed in on a 4th and 7 on their own half of the field to ice the game.
