WOODLAND — Junior quarterback Michael Belvin passed for 143 yards and rushed for 102 more and two scores as the Woodland Beavers ran their winning streak to four games with a 35-7 victory over the Hudson’s Bay Eagles on Friday in 2A Greater St. Helens League play.
Woodland (5-2 overall) drove 87 yards for its first touchdown, and then drove 88 yards on its next offensive series. The Beavers struck much quicker in the second half as Jackson Andrews caught the second-half kickoff over his shoulder, ran right and then cut back left for a 75-yard touchdown, and Tristan Guy picked off a pass and ran 38 yards untouched for a touchdown to open the fourth quarter.
