1Two arrested after monthslong theft and burglary spree in Beltsville

BELTSVILLE, MD – Two Beltsville men were arrested after investigators linked them to nearly 40 thefts and burglaries across the community, a probe that recovered dozens of stolen power tools and yard machines and led to more than 240 criminal charges.

Prince George’s County detectives say the investigation identified 27-year-old Paul Moegel III and 31-year-old Christopher Talbott as the suspects in a string of shed burglaries, vehicle thefts and related thefts from June through October. A search warrant at a Lexington Avenue residence turned up a large cache of items believed stolen during the series of break-ins.
