Trying to predict the future for any team or any of the players is a mug’s game.

Things happen unexpectedly. Injuries occur, development stalls, a steady, upside trajectory for players wavers incredibly, on both the good side and the bad side. Great play calls turn into missed shots because of the vagaries of sports breaks, wins turn into losses in a blink of an eye. To predict is risky and fraught with peril.
