The Gateway Theatre Guild and Trinity Arts proudly presents the Canadian premiere of The Great Gatsby: A Live Radio Play as part of North Bay’s centennial celebrations.

Directed by Rod Carley, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s beloved classic comes to life as a 1940s radio broadcast in this spirited adaptation of The Great Gatsby.

An ensemble of 15 local actors brings more than two dozen characters from the novel to the stage of the WBFR radio station for a live summer broadcast, punctuated by 40s-era commercials, the jazz age stylings of Paolo Dottori and The WBFR Quartet, and live sound effects.

It’s a tale of triumph and tragedy that reflects the decadence of the roaring twenties and the perils of the American Dream. Perils that continue to this day.
