NORFOLK, Va. — A former U.S. Navy sailor has been sentenced to 28 years in prison for shooting and killing a fellow sailor during a domestic dispute in 2024.
Nildaliz Arline Flores-Roman, 27, was sentenced Friday after a jury convicted her in June of second-degree murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony for the killing of Petty Officer First Class Katrina Ann Anderson.
Prosecutors said the shooting happened in the early morning hours of March 16, 2024, following an argument between Flores-Roman, her then-wife, and Anderson at the couple’s apartment on East Little Creek Road in Norfolk.
