The newly posted Inspector General of BSF’s Tripura frontier Alak Kumar Chakraborty has taken over charge yesterday from the incumbent Ashwini Kumar Sharma who has been transferred to Manipur. It has been informed to media by a press release from the BSF’s Tripura frontier headquarter at Shalbagan area, north of Agartala.

The newly posted IGP Alak Kumar Chakraborty is a highly decorated officer who has already been conferred police medal, UNMIK medal and ‘Ati Utkrishta Seva Medal’.
