Just as the Conservatives push to investigate the link between health-care shortages and sky-high immigration, the federal government circulated a social media post inviting foreigners to take advantage of Canada’s “public health care.”

“Thinking about moving to Canada? Did you know Canada has public health care?” reads a Thanksgiving Day post uploaded to the various social media accounts of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The post was circulated amid record-high health-care wait times in the aftermath of an unprecedented migration influx and a Conservative campaign asserting that the two are very much related.
