The RNC made three separate arrests in St. John’s yesterday evening, dealing with outstanding warrants and two alleged assaults.

The first incident occurred in the early evening, when patrol officers near Blackmarsh Road recognized a man who was wanted on several warrants and took him into custody.

Later in the evening, police responded to two separate disturbances. Just after 11:00 p.m., officers were called to a residence on Military Road, where they arrested a 45-year-old man for assault and breach of a release order. Around the same time, police responded to an assault near Merrymeeting Road, which resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old woman, also for assault.

All three individuals were held in custody for a court appearance this morning.
