HADDONFIELD — The last time Seneca junior quarterback Anthony Tirico played Paul VI, he left the game both frustrated and injured. Tirico suffered a second quarter concussion in a loss to Paul VI, a game that proved the difference in the Eagles winning the West Jersey Football League Continental Division and Seneca finishing in second place.

Fast forward a year later and Tirico earned some serious revenge. On one of the better performances in a career that has had no shortage of dominating games, Tirico fueled Seneca’s 27-14 win over Paul VI with both his arm and his legs.

He rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries, while completing 5-of-10 passes for 113 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.
