HOLYOKE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Holyoke Community College retired the uniform number of former soccer alum Amanda Cummings. Cummings was a star defender on the team, receiving All-American honors in 2011. She was killed in a Springfield shooting in 2023 at 31-years-old.

3 p.m. a ceremony took place on HCC’s O’Connell Field before the soccer match against Bay Path University started at 3:30. Cummings’ family received a framed uniform, and a second framed jersey will hang in the college’s hall of fame.
