BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Second Baptist (Houston) made just enough plays to outlast St. Joseph’s in a battle of the Eagles.

Why did Second Baptist win? The Eagles from Houston were able to strike quickly with explosive plays on a more frequent basis. This allowed them to cash in their scoring opportunities with points more often.

Standout performance? Second Baptist running back Caleb Cook set the tone for his team. Thanks to St. Joseph’s mishandling a kickoff, Cook was able to score his second TD before his opponents even possessed the ball.

What’s next? St. Joseph’s will host the Faith Academy (Bellville) Knights after a week off.
