SUFFIELD, Conn. (WFSB) - A man is seriously injured after an incident involving a lawnmower in Suffield on Saturday afternoon.

At around 12:52 p.m. first responders were called to the area of Thompsonville Road after a report of a lawnmower accident, the police department said.

When crews arrived, they found man lying on the ground with an overturned mower on top of him.

Crews were able to help remove the lawnmower and gave medical aid.

The victim suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

Officials said he is currently in critical condition.

No further details were released.
