PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — Port Jervis High’s top-ranked Class B school scored 34 unanswered points in the second half to knock Saugerties from the unbeaten ranks with a 48-14 Section 9 football win on Friday, Oct. 17.

The state’s defending Class B champion Raiders improved to 5-0 in Class B in Section 9 and 7-0 overall. Saugerties dropped to 4-1 in Class B and 6-1 overall.

Sawyers quarterback Michael Gramoglia passed for 150 yards and one touchdown to Nick Fellows. Johnny Hernandez had 10 carries and 39 yards and scored one touchdown for the Sawyers, who were tied with Port Jervis 14-14 at the half.

Landon MacDougall had six tackles and an interception to lead the Saugerties defense. Fellows and Nate Dippel had five tackles each and Myles Coons chipped in with four.
