BEACON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Newburgh man was arrested on several drug and weapon charges following a traffic stop in Beacon on Wednesday, according to New York State Police. Savon Bagby, 27, faces several felonies.

At about 12:45 p.m., State Police pulled over a car driving eastbound on I-84 for an alleged vehicle and traffic law violation. Inside the vehicle, troopers reportedly found a female driver, a child passenger in the rear seat and Bagby sitting in the front-seat passenger.

According to police, Bagby had an active warrant out of the city of Newburgh. After being taken into custody, the 27-year-old was allegedly found with about 15.5 grams of MDMA and 3.5 grams of crack cocaine. Two revolvers were also found during a search of the car, police said.
