OMAHA, Neb. —

People across the country are gathering in protest of what is happening in the country, and that includes in Omaha.

The "No Kings" demonstration in Omaha is happening in Turner Park.

This is the third mass demonstration since President Trump's return to the White House, and it comes as the government shutdown has closed federal programs and services that are being felt here in Nebraska.

More than 2,600 rallies are planned Saturday in cities all over the U.S., organized by hundreds of coalition partners.

“Big rallies like this give confidence to people who have been sitting on the sidelines but are ready to speak up,” Democratic U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy said in an interview with The Associated Press.
