Zayden Herb recorded his 100th career goal in Neshannock's regular season finale against Sewickley Academy on Monday.
Herb, a senior striker, added six more goals in Saturday's opening round of the WPIAL Class 1A boys soccer playoffs as No. 12 seed Neshannock (14-4-1) recorded a 6-1 upset of No. 5 seed Springdale (11-5) in a game played at Springdale.
"Zayden is a goal-scoring machine," said first-year coach Morgan Siebka-Witmer. "He's calm, cool and collected. He's just what you need from a goal scorer. His teammates know how to get him the ball and he knows how to capitalize."
Herb recorded a hat trick in the first half with consecutive goals in a stretch of 4:36. The first came with 27:56 left, the second at 27:14 and the third at 23:20. His second goal came on a penalty kick.
