On Friday, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a recall certain brands of pistachios in B.C. due to possible Salmonella contamination.
The recall was triggered by a CFIA test result, leading to the following product’s removal from the B.C. market: Pistachio In-Shell Lime and Saffron (no label applied), in a range of sizes, sold between Sept. 5 to 19, 2025; and Persian Style Pistachios with Saffron in a range of sizes with the following codes #7081 and #7080, sold between Aug. 28 and Oct. 11, 2025.
To date no illnesses have been reported.
If you have one of the recalled products, do not eat the pistachios. Either return them to the place purchased or throw it out.
The CFIA says to contact your healthcare provider if you think you became sick from eating the product.
