COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - No. 14 Oklahoma got some payback for a 2024 loss to South Carolina, defeating the Gamecocks 26-7 Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium.

After taking a 14-7 lead heading to halftime, the Sooners began pulling away in the third quarter with a field goal and a 20-yard touchdown throw from John Mateer to Isaiah Satenga, III.

Oklahoma punctuated the win with a safety in the fourth quarter and an interception in the endzone on the Gamecocks’ final possession.

South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers and the Gamecocks’ offensive line struggled throughout the day, with Sellers being sacked five times and throwing for 124 yards. The Sooners’ defense also tallied 13 tackles for loss in the win.
