DULUTH — Friday night in Bemidji, it was Zam and Max Plante scoring two goals each in a win over Bemidji State.

Sophomore wing Jayson Shaugabay potted a pair of goals in the second period to lead Minnesota Duluth to a 5-1 victory over the Beavers at Amsoil Arena to complete the nonconference sweep.

The 2023 fourth-round draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning out of Warroad had a career-high four points — as did the Plantes — in a 7-3 win Friday night at Sanford Center. Shaugabay scored two goals in his first collegiate game a season ago against the Beavers at Amsoil Arena en route to scoring the second-most on the team — 12 — in 2024-25.
