Thousands of zombies took over one of Mexico City's main avenues on Saturday in a colourful annual march.

Entire families dressed up for an afternoon filled with scares and laughter.

Popular culture characters such as cartoons, mariachis, nurses, and clowns were dressed up as zombies.
