After a gap of nearly seven years, advertisements are set to return to Bengaluru Metro pillars. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has invited tenders to display advertisements on selected metro pillars and portals along operational and upcoming lines. This follows an amendment to the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) advertising law, granting BMRCL the exclusive right to manage and display advertisements on its own premises. The tender covers metro lines across the Purple, Green, Yellow, and soon-to-be-launched Pink and Blue corridors — a total of 130 pillars. The project is valued at `65 crore, with expected annual revenues between `70–80 crore.
