The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man accused of possibly abducting a woman who mistook him for an Uber driver.

At 4:08 a.m. on Saturday, OCSO received a 911 call from a store clerk at the Rebel gas station on 2294 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway regarding a possible kidnapping.

The victim was walking east on E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway toward Cross Prairie Parkway when a silver SUV stopped in front of her, according to a report.

The driver offered her a ride, and she entered the vehicle, believing he was an Uber driver.

The woman demanded to be let out after the man began making inappropriate sexual comments.

When he refused, she screamed and attempted to open the passenger door. The suspect then accelerated, causing her to fall from the moving vehicle.
