NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - The severe potential continues through the early morning hours of Sunday then leads into a day filled with lots of sunshine.

Some light to moderate showers and storms will cross the South Shore and coastal areas in the late evening hours of Saturday then come midnight into Sunday is when the second round of storms will roll through:

The heaviest storms are looking to be near the northern and eastern Mississippi/Louisiana state lines along with the Sound and eastern Gulf areas between 1-6 a.m.
