WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A 14-year-old girl was killed and a teen driver is believed to have serious injuries after a crash on I-135 Saturday near Kellogg in Wichita.

According to crash logs, a 16-year-old was driving north on I-135 when the vehicle left the roadway at mile marker 6 and struck a bridge pillar.

Belayna Amaya, a 14-year-old passenger, was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries.

Both teens were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. Saturday evening.
