SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Dew points are climbing today for a more humid feel in the afternoon and the next few days. Winds turn to the South on Sunday, which brings humidity up as dew points climb to 70°. But even with that increase in surface humidity, the atmosphere above us is fairly dry, so our rain chances only go up to 10% to 20% for Sunday into Monday.
Morning is best on the golf course or the tennis courts. A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are must-have items today. The morning has the lowest humidity, the afternoon will see “Feels Like” temps back in the 90s.
At the beach, Gulf waters temps have dropped to 78° at Manatee and Coquina beaches, 79°at Nokomis, and near 80° elsewhere. Clouds are increasing but and the UV Index will be High. A sunburn is possible in only 20-30 minutes
