The No. 25 Fighting Illini are coming off a 34-16 loss to No. 1 Ohio State , its second of the season along with a loss to No. 3 Indiana.
Illinois is facing Washington for the first time since the Huskies joined the Big Ten Conference. The programs met in 2013 and 2014. Before that, the programs had not met since the early 1970s.
The game will be important for coach Bret Bielema and Illinois, as their College Football Playoff hopes stay alive only if the Fighting Illini win the rest of their games.
