A baby crocodile has shut down a hotel pool before being detained by staff.
The infant estuarine (saltwater) crocodile was spotted in the pool at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort in Port Douglas, north Queensland , on Saturday.
Lisa Keller, who was staying at the hotel, quickly took a video of the croc on the pool’s floor to post to social media.
“I don’t want to alarm anyone but there’s a crocodile in the Sheraton pool,” she said in the video.
Other footage shows other guests not giving the crocodile much attention and deciding to still lounge by the pool.
“Update: Not a single person cares,” she wrote.
In another video posted to TikTok, the crocodile — dubbed Carlos — was shown slowly swimming around the pool while staff set up a perimeter to keep guests from entering the water.
