NETHER PROVIDENCE — To Pastor François Lacroix, Reformation Sunday is one of the most significant celebrations on the liturgical calendar.
This year’s recognition will be especially meaningful.
Lacroix, head of staff at Wallingford Presbyterian Church, will be retiring at the end of October. He made the announcement last year on the same Sunday.
“When Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses, he dropped a pebble in the stagnant waters of the established church in Germany,” he said in 2024. “It was a pebble thrown in the pond of time and the waters of faith and today we are still feeling the effects of the ripples.”
A native of Belgium, Lacroix and his family immigrated to Montreal, later moving to Miami. His life-long love of music led him to Florida
