Prince William is reportedly set to be more ruthless and exclude Andrew from "all elements" of Royal life when he ascends the throne.

The Prince of Wales is believed to have held crisis discussions with King Charles prior to Andrew's announcement that he was relinquishing all his titles. Andrew stated that he would no longer carry the title of Duke of York and surrendered other honours, citing that the allegations made against him by Virginia Giuffre "distract from the work of His Majesty and the royal family".

He maintained that he was prioritising his "family and country first" and would cease using "my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me", while simultaneously denying all the accusations. Prince Andrew has consistently refuted the allegations levelled against him.
