A man was attacked with a metal bar causing severe facial injuries in a Grangetown robbery. The incident happened in Kingsley Close around lunchtime on Thursday, October 16.

He is alleged to have had a knife put to his throat and was struck with the bar, before a bank card was stolen and used. A 46-year-old man was arrested later that day on on suspicion of assault and robbery. He was later charged and remanded into custody.

A 24-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of robbery, questioned and released on bail pending further enquiries.
