The Louvre art musuem in Paris has been shut after robbers targeted the site.

Raiders were understood to have made off with jewellery from the 'collection of Napoleon and the Empress' during their raid on Sunday, October 19.

Rachida Dati wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "A robbery took place this morning at the opening of the Louvre Museum."
