These Eugene women led the charge for major memory care reform

This pair of "accidental activists" from Eugene led the charge for a major reform to memory care facilities in Oregon.

Under Senate Bill 228 , going into effect at the beginning of 2026, the family members of memory care patients will have the right to form "independent family councils" to advocate on their loved one's behalf.
