Delhi’s air quality worsened further on Sunday, slipping into the ‘severe’ category in several parts just a day before Diwali. On Saturday, it was in the ‘poor’ category, with low visibility in the morning.
Data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) showed that multiple monitoring stations reported AQI levels above 400, indicating hazardous air conditions for residents.
Area-wise AQI in Delhi-NCR regions
As per the data from CPCB, the most polluted localities were Akshardham (426) and Anand Vihar (418), both falling under the ‘’severe’’ category. In the Central and the North Delhi, areas like Vivek Vihar (349), Dwarka (327), Bawana (303), Dwarka (327), RK Puram (322), Jahangirpuri (314) were all in the ‘’very poor’’ range category.
