Here in the desert, we are finally in the cool embrace of autumn with all of its pleasures: college football, apple cider and no more concern about looking good in that bathing suit. And along with those benefits is the looming holiday season, beginning with Halloween.

Insofar as this has been quite the unusual year to date, it might be time for a rather unusual costume. Thus, we've been racking our brains around here to see what we have that can make you look properly ridiculous or, to be somewhat less judgmental, unique. If you haven't settled on your Halloween outfit just yet, you might want to eschew the usual cheesy pre-packaged options and go with something like those outlined below.
